Tussah

Antheraea is a genus of moths, some species of which are best known for their production of wild silk or ‘tussah’. This gorgeous material is highly valued, for its rich texture and golden shine. Our ‘Tussah’ carpet combines those desirable tactile and aesthetic qualities with the durability of a man-made fibre. ‘Tussah’ is a hand-woven carpet with a striated pattern, created by alternating a high and low weave. This texture, combined with the play of light on the nap of the carpet, provides for an interesting yet unobtrusive addition to any interior.
