Drop
Crystal droplets are a recurring theme in Petra Hartman’s jewellery designs. Are they dewdrops or tears? And if the latter, do they symbolize joy or grief? Their meaning is in the eye of the beholder. Most definitely, Petra’s ‘Drop’ lamp brings nothing but joy, whether lit or unlit. A shimmering, perfectly formed and masterly crafted glass object, that is sure to light up not only your home but your life.

Petra Hartman
Petra Hartman (1960) is a true Da Vinci of her time: educated at ArtEZ in Arnhem, she soon developed into an all-round artist. Her work remains firmly grounded in her paintings—explosions of colour and movement, with a striking exuberance and lightness of touch. Yet it was her jewellery and iconic handbag designs that brought her wider recognition and resulted in regular exhibitions, around the world.
Petra’s inspiring and unorthodox approach has also come to life in various architectural projects, some of which she executes in close cooperation with designer Ruud-Jan Kokke.
For LINTELOO, she has turned her hand to lighting and for those of us who are familiar with Petra’s work, her designs are immediately recognisable: surprising, beautiful and timeless.
